Max has over fifteen years of experience representing oil, gas, and energy clients in complex commercial, operational, and transactional matters. His broad-based energy practice includes representations of clients in the upstream, midstream, and downstream spaces with an emphasis on commercial transactions and acquisitions and divestitures for midstream and upstream assets, including: upstream/midstream asset purchase agreements; hydrocarbon gathering agreements; hydrocarbon transportation services agreements; gas processing agreements; y-grade fractionation agreements; hydrocarbon storage and terminalling agreements; produced water gathering, recycling and disposal agreements; hydrocarbon purchase, sale and exchange agreements; pipeline capacity leases and undivided joint-interest agreements; construction and operating agreements; and master service and supply agreements.

Prior to joining GAILLE PLLC, Max most recently worked as a partner in Winston & Strawn, LLP’s Houston office. Earlier in his career, Max served as senior in-house counsel in the Crude Oil Transportation Group of Energy Transfer Partners, a publicly traded limited partnership with core operations in energy transportation and storage. He began his legal career in 2010 as an associate at Locke Lord LLP (now Troutman Pepper Locke).

Max holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Texas at Austin, graduating with Highest Honors and being inducted as a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Texas School of Law.
